Opportunities in Flavour Physics at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC
Motivated by the success of the flavour physics programme carried out over the last decade at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we characterize in detail the physics potential of its High-Luminosity and High-Energy upgrades in this domain of physics. We document the extraordinary breadth of the HL/HE-LHC programme enabled by a putative Upgrade II of the dedicated flavour physics experiment LHCb and the evolution of the established flavour physics role of the ATLAS and CMS general purpose experiments. We connect the dedicated flavour physics programme to studies of the top quark, Higgs boson, and direct high-$p_T$ searches for new particles and force carriers. We discuss the complementarity of their discovery potential for physics beyond the Standard Model, affirming the necessity to fully exploit the LHC's flavour physics potential throughout its upgrade eras.

Names which originate from plants within terminologia anatomica / Terminologia anatomica'da yer alan bitkisel kokenli isimler
The anatomy is the first step in medical education. Education of terminology is the base of anatomy lesson. The science of anatomy possesses very rich terminological knowledge. The basis of this terminology is based on words which originate from the Latin and Greek. Those terms were published as a list in Terminologia Anatomica (TA). TA, published in 1998 by the Federative Committee on Anatomical Terminology, was scanned to determine the names of vegetable origin. Turkish meanings of these names were detected from various dictionaries. We have determined 7537 anatomical terms in TA which defined the structures of human body. These names divided in two grups. Whether the first group names (13 names) were reminded directly by plant, the second group names (12 names) were not reminded directly by plant names but their origins were based on plant origin. We examined how often these names are repeated in TA. We determined that these names repeated in 647 times. The ratio of names which based on plant origin was 7,4% in total terms of TA. If we determine these plant origin names in anatomic terms and explain them to student with knowing the meaning of these names, we may contribute the better understanding of anatomy.

Cytotoxic and Apoptotic Effect of Iris taochia Plant Extracts on Human Breast Cancer (MCF-7) Cells
Introduction: Iris taochia is an endemic plant in Turkey. Iris species has many biological effects such as antibacterial, antiinflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer properties. Apoptosis is a programmed cell death and this mechanism regulates the death of cancer cells. Purpose: The aim of our work is to investigate how the Iris taochia extracts affect the apoptotic activity in the MCF7 cells. Methods: Cytotoxic dose and cell viability is determined by the MTT assay. Bad, Bax, Bcl-2, Bcl- W, Bid, Bim, Caspase 3, Caspase 8, CD40, CD40L, cIAP-2, CytoC, DR6, Fas, FasL, HSP27, HSP60, HSP70, HTRA, IGF-I, IGF-II, IGFBP-1, IGFBP-2, IGFBP-3, IGFBP-4, IGFBP-5, IGFBP-6, IGF-1sR, Livin, p21, p27, p53, SMAC, Survivin, sTNF-R1, sTNF-R2, TNF-α, TNF-β, TRAILR-1, TRAILR-2, TRAILR-3, TRAILR-4 and XIAP proteins were measured by the membrane array kit. Results: Iris taochia extracts exhibited significant cytotoxic effects on MCF7 cells and IC50 values ranging from 1.56 to 100 μg/mL. Our results indicate that MeOH extract of Iris taochia in MCF7 cells may be a regulator of cell death proteins, cell cycle and growth factors. DCM and EtOH extracts of Iris taochia have a limited effect on MCF7 cells, especially, HSPs, which play a significant role in chemoresistance, downregulating DCM and EtOH extracts of Iris taochia, whereas ligands and receptors of extrinsic apoptotic pathway are upregulated by these extracts. Conclusion: This is the first study to investigate the cytotoxic and apoptotic effect of Iris taochia extracts on MCF7 cells. Results also showed that Iris taochia reduced cell viability and induced apoptotic pathways as a potential regulator of cancer cell death.

Search for New Physics with rare decays at CMS
One of the major goals of the LHC experiments is probing for new physics beyond Standard Model.We report the most recent experimental results to search for new physics in rare B mesons decaying to dimuons and searches of the τ leptons decaying to three muons in W boson and heavy-flavor boson channels at CMS.
