A facility to Search for Hidden Particles (SHiP) at the CERN SPS
A new general purpose fixed target facility is proposed at the CERN SPS accelerator which is aimed at exploring the domain of hidden particles and make measurements with tau neutrinos. Hidden particles are predicted by a large number of models beyond the Standard Model. The high intensity of the SPS 400~GeV beam allows probing a wide variety of models containing light long-lived exotic particles with masses below ${\cal O}$(10)~GeV/c$^2$, including very weakly interacting low-energy SUSY states. The experimental programme of the proposed facility is capable of being extended in the future, e.g. to include direct searches for Dark Matter and Lepton Flavour Violation.

Astronomical Camera Based on a CCD261-84 Detector with Increased Sensitivity in the Near-Infrared
Herein, we describe the design, implementation and operation principles of an astronomical camera system, based on a large-format CCD261-84 detector with an extremely thick 200 μm substrate. The DINACON-V controller was used with the CCD to achieve high performance and low noise. The CCD system photometric characteristics are presented. A spatial autocorrelation analysis of flat-field images was performed to reveal the dependence of substrate voltage on the lateral charge spreading. The investigation of the dispersion index for the optimal choice of exposure time is discussed. Studies of the patterns of fringes were carried out in comparison with previous detectors. The amplitude of fringes with CCD261-84 was significantly lower, compared to previous-generation detectors. The results of using a new camera for imaging and spectral observations at the Russian 6 m telescope with the SCORPIO-2 multimode focal reducer are considered. The developed CCD camera system makes it possible to significantly increase the sensitivity in the 800–1000 spectral range.

Erratum: Measurement of the<i>b</i>-quark fragmentation function inZ0decays [Phys. Rev. D<b>65</b>, 092006 (2002)]
We present a measurement of the b-quark inclusive fragmentation function in Z0 decays using a novel kinematic B-hadron energy reconstruction technique. The measurement was performed using 350,000 hadronic Z0 events recorded in the SLD experiment at SLAC between 1997 and 1998. We compared the sacled B-hadron energy distribution with models of b-quark fragmentation and with several ad hoc functional forms. A number of models and functions are excluded by the data. The average scaled energy of weakly-decaying B hadrons was measured to be <x_B>= 0.709 +-0.003 (stat) +-0.003 (syst) +-0.002 (model).

Polarization effects in the quasielastic (p, 2p) reaction with the nuclear S-Shell Protons at 1 GeV
The polarization of the secondary protons in the (p, 2p) reaction with the S-shell protons of nuclei 4He, 6Li, 12C, 28Si, 40Ca was measured at 1 GeV unpolarized proton beam. The spin correlation parameters C ij for the 4He and 12C targets also were for the first time obtained as well. The polarization measurements were performed by means of a two-arm magnetic spectrometer, each arm of which was equipped with the multiwire-proportional chamber polarimeter. This experiment was aimed to study a modification of the proton-proton scattering matrix in the nuclear medium.

MC generator HARDPING 2.0: hadron production in lepton-nuclei interactions at high energies
Hadron production in lepton-nucleus interactions at high-energies is considered in framework of developing Monte Carlo (MC) generator HARDPING (HARD Probe INteraction Generator). Such effects as formation length, energy loss and multiple rescattering for produced hadrons are implemented into the HARPING. Available data from HERMES on hadron production in lepton-nucleus collisions are described by the current version of the HARDPING generator in a reasonable agreement.

Hard processes in p–A collisions with MC generator HARDPING 3.0
Hard processes in p–A collisions at high energies with MC (Monte Carlo) generator HARDPING (HARD Probe IN-teraction Generator) are discussed. Such effects as energy loss and multiple rescattering initial and produced hadrons and their constituents are implemented into the HARDPING. It provides a reasonably good description of hadron production in p–A collisions at 400 GeV (Cronin effect). Predictions by the HARPING 3.0 for lepton pairs production in p–A at proton beam energy 120 GeV ( sNN=15.08 GeV) at Fermilab Tevatron Booster and sNN=5.02 TeV at CERN LHC are presented.

BFKL jets: search for Higgs boson and graviton at the LHC
Monte Carlo event simulation with BFKL evolution is discussed. We report current status of a Monte Carlo event generator ULYSSES with BFKL evolution implemented. The ULYSSES, based on Pythia Monte Carlo generator, would help to reveal BFKL effects at LHC energies. In particular, such an observable as dijet K-factor can serve as a source of BFKL dynamics at the LHC, and it would also help to search for new physics.

The design and implementation of astronomical cameras based on the large-format CCD and CMOS detectors is described in this paper. The Dinacon-5 controller is used for work with the CCDs and to achieve high performance and low noise. A new controller is designed for CMOS sensors. The main characteristics of the provided systems are estimated on the basis of experimental data. The spatial autocorrelation analysis is applied for PSF estimation. The obtained test results are presented.

Dijets with Large Rapidity Separation at CMS
Search for asymptotic Balitsky–Fadin–Kuraev–Lipatov (BFKL) effects at CMS in dijet events with large rapidity separation between jets in proton-proton collisions at 7 TeV is presented. CMS data on cross-section ratios and azimuthal decorrelations for dijets with large rapidity separation between jets are compared with predictions by various Monte Carlo (MC) event generators based on Dokshitzer–Gribov–Lipatov–Altarelli–Parisi (DGLAP) and BFKL evolutions. None of DGLAP-based generators can describe all measured observable by CMS at 7 TeV. NLL BFKL predictions are consistent with CMS data on dijet azimuthal decorrelations at 7 TeV. More data at higher LHC energies are needed to reveal possible effects.

The paper presents a high-speed astronomical camera based on a large-format (4096 × 4096 9µm pixels) front-illuminatedCMOS imager with a read-out noise of 4.4e − . The maximum frame rate of the camera is 24 fps. The specific requirementsthat are taken into account when building a controller architecture are formulated. A brief description of the CMOS camerastructure is introduced and the photoelectric characteristics obtained from the results of laboratory tests of the camera arepresented. Test observations at the Zeiss-1000 telescope of the SAO RAS were successfully carried out in July 2021.
