One‐pot synthesis and characterization CdTe:Zn2+ quantum dots and its molecular interaction with calf thymus DNA
Tremendous research efforts have been dedicated to fabricating high-quality Zn-doped CdTe quantum dots (QDs) for any potential biomedical applications. In particular, the correlation of issues regarding how QDs interact with DNA is of greatest importance. Herein, a pH-responsive study of the interactions between CdTe:Zn2+ quantum dots with 4 different sizes and calf thymus DNA (ctDNA) was conducted using multispectroscopic techniques and electrochemical investigation. Fluorescence studies revealed that this interaction process is predominantly a static process and groove binding was the main binding mode for CdTe:Zn2+ QDs to ctDNA. The calculated negative values of enthalpy (-45.06 kJ mol-1 ) and entropy (-133.62 J mol-1 K-1 ) with temperature changes indicated that the hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interactions played major roles in the reaction. Furthermore, circular dichroism spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectrometry analyses indicate that the normal conformation of ctDNA is discombobulated by CdTe:Zn2+ QDs. In addition, the electrochemical behavior of the affinity of CdTe:Zn2+ QDs for ctDNA agreed well with the results obtained from fluorescence experiments. This study might be meaningful for understanding the molecular binding mechanism of QDs for DNA and provides a basis for QD-labeled systems.

Physics potential of timing layers in future collider detectors
The physics potential of timing layers with a few tens of pico-second resolution in the calorimeters of future collider detectors is explored. These studies show how such layers can be used for particle identification and illustrate the potential for detecting new event signatures originating from physics beyond the standard model.

Estimation for running time and energy losses due to unproductive stops at bus stations in urban-rural traffic corridors
To provide data support for developing fixed-route DRT based on FRT to reduce operating costs inside base routes in urban-rural traffic corridors, this paper estimated running time and energy losses due to unproductive stops at bus stations in urban-rural traffic corridors. Firstly, 14 urban-rural bus routes without ticket sellers in Xi'an are selected to demonstrate the universality of unproductive stops at bus stations. Secondly, a model for estimating running time and energy losses based on the VT-CPFM model is developed. Finally, running time and energy losses due to unproductive stops in two representative urban-rural traffic corridors are estimated. Estimated results show that the average running time loss ratios of different rounds in Routes 332, 333, 335, 338 and G1 range from 8.30% to 17.52% and that average fuel loss ratios range from 9.16% to 13.30%. In addition, the monetary loss in energy consumption of Route G1 in 2019 is estimated to be up to 193213 yuan. This study proves that unproductive stops at bus stations generally exist in urban-rural bus routes and can result in significant running time and energy losses and that developing fixed-route DRT based on FRT leveraging V2I with mobile APP in representative urban-rural traffic corridors is very necessary, which is expected to reduce energy consumption and running time.

A New Prediction Method of Rockburst in Underground Engineering Based on Elastic Energy Index
In this paper, a new prediction method of rockburst in underground engineering has been proposed based on elastic energy index through cyclic loading and unloading test. The calculation formula has been explicitly explained and W ET was gained through cyclic loading and unloading test result. Finally, we obtain the conclusion that skarn is a kind of hard brittle rock which has high rock burst tendency. In the cyclic loading and unloading test, the curve behaviors as a "n" shapke which indicate that its energy storage capacity increase first with cycle times and decrease after reaching peak point.

Study Of Boosted W-Jets And Higgs-Jets With the SiFCC Detector
We study the detector performance in the reconstruction of hadronically-decaying W bosons and Higgs bosons at very high energy proton colliders using a full GEANT4 simulation of the SiFCC detector. The W and Higgs bosons carry transverse momentum in the multi-TeV range, which results in collimated decay products that are reconstructed as a single jet. We present a measurement of the energy response and resolution of boosted W-jets and Higgs-jets and show the separation of two sub-jets within the boosted boson jet.

Search for new physics with photons at the tevatron
We report on a search for compositeness in ee+gamma events and a search for gauge-mediated supersymmetry in gamma+gamma+met events. We also report on two signature-based searches for anomalous production of gamma + gamma + X (where X=e, mu, gamma, met) and gamma + lepton + X. The analyses are based on 0.9--1.2 fb-1 of data from p-pbar collisions at sqrt(s)=1.96 TeV collected with the CDF and D0 detectors at the Fermilab Tevatron. No significant excess of data over the predicted background has been observed.

IFR code for secondary particle dynamics
A numerical simulation has been constructed to obtain a detailed, quantitative estimate of the electromagnetic fields and currents existing in the Advanced Test Accelerator under conditions of laser guiding. The code treats the secondary electrons by particle simulation and the beam dynamics by a time-dependent envelope model. The simulation gives a fully relativistic description of secondary electrons moving in self-consistent electromagnetic fields. The calculations are made using coordinates t, x, y, z for the electrons and t, ct-z, r for the axisymmetric electromagnetic fields and currents. Code results, showing in particular current enhancement effects, will be given.

DETERMINATION OF THE DEGREE OF ASSOCIATION OF POLYBUTADIENYL LITHIUM IN TOLUENE SOLUTION
In this paper the determination of the degree of association of polybu-tadienyl lithium in toluene as solvent has been reported. The experimentalresults show that the average degree of association of polybutadienyl lithiumin toluene is equal or greater than 2 (when the initiator concentratonis>1?10-3mol/l). The viscosity ratio is not found to be influenced by thevariation of shear velocity in viscolsimeter, when the degree of associationof polybutadienyl lithium is measured by viscosimetry.
