A Pattern Recognition Mezzanine based on Associative Memory and FPGA technology for Level 1 Track Triggers for the HL-LHC upgrade
The increment of luminosity at HL-LHC will require the introduction of tracker information at Level-1 trigger system for the experiments in order to maintain an acceptable trigger rate for selecting interesting events despite the one order of increased magnitude in the minimum bias interactions. In order to extract the track information in the required latency (∼ 5–10 μ s depending on the experiment), a dedicated hardware processor needs to be used. We here propose a prototype system (Pattern Recognition Mezzanine) as core of pattern recognition and track fitting for HL-LHC experiments, combining the power of both Associative Memory custom ASIC and modern Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) devices.

Search for the Standard Model Higgs boson decaying into two photons with the CMS experiment
With the discovery of a Higgs boson, the standard model (SM) of particle physics has been successfully proved giving an answer to the origin of the masses issue, through the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. The Higgs decaying to two photons is presented. Although this process has a low branching ratio, it provides a clean final state topology, with a peak that can be observed over the background. The analysis is performed using 2011 and 2012 datasets recorded by the the CMS experiment [1] from pp collisions at centre of mass energies of 7TeV (5.1/fb) and 8TeV (19.6/fb) and shows the presence of a new boson with a mass of about 125 GeV.

Search for new physics with same-sign isolated dilepton events in CMS
One of the main goals of LHC is the discovery of new physics (NP) beyond the standard model (BSM). Many strategies to get a hint of NP have been proposed and studied: one of these is the search for events in which two same-sign leptons are present. This topology is very rare in the Standard Model, while it is present in many BSM models. An inclusive search for the presence of new physics in events with two isolated same sign leptons, using 5.0 f b−1 of data taken in 2011 by CMS is presented. The observed data are compatible with the predictions of the SM. The results are interpreted in terms of limits of a supersymmetric model.

Measurements of Electroweak Top Production at the LHC
The production of a single top quark at LHC may occur through charged-current electroweak interactions, i.e. via three different processes: the s-channel exchange of a virtual W boson, the t-channel exchange of a virtual W boson and the associated production of a top quark and a W boson (tW). In this paper a review of the measurements of the single-top production made both at ATLAS and CMS will be shown.

Search for single production of a vector-like T quark decaying to tZ with CMS at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV : arXiv
We present a search for single production of heavy vector-like quarks (VLQs), carried out by the CMS collaboration analyzing LHC pp collisions at 13 TeV. The vector like quark is a massive top quark partner that is searched for in a mass range between 0.7 and 1.7 TeV and a width between $<$1\% and 30\%. Single production can be dominant over pair production, depending on the mass of the new quark. The search is performed in a variety of final states including boosted topologies that can increase the sensitivity of the analysis.

Status and prospect of LHC BSM searches
In the last years, the ATLAS and CMS experiments at LHC have recorded more than 100 fb-1 of data that are used to investigate with high precision many aspects of high energy physics. In this conference proceeding, I will review the most recent and interesting results related to the search of new physics at the ATLAS and CMS experiments.
